SLA B&F’s Centers of Excellence Awards 2013

Centers of Excellence Awards

Applications & Nominations Being Accepted

Is your organization a Center of Excellence?

Do you know an organization that should be recognized as a Center of Excellence?

Now is the time to apply or nominate!!!

The purpose of the Centers of Excellence Awards is to recognize excellence and quality in libraries and information centers represented within the Business & Finance Division, both domestic and international. The awards are modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Awards and strive to recognize the very best in library and information center practice.

Applying for the Centers of Excellence Award can be an enriching and fulfilling endeavor. It will help guide you in evaluating your own organization as it advances towards a higher level of excellence. The Awards also benefit the Division Members through:

  • The sharing of Best Practices;
  • Publicizing and spotlighting excellence within the Division; and
  • Creating benchmarking opportunities for other institutions and organizations.

And remember… Winners of the Centers of Excellence Awards receive 2 Free Registrations for the Conference!!!

As we look forward to our Annual Conference in San Diego, June 9-11, 2013, activity is already starting on planning for the Center of Excellence Awards.

Ø  There is no requirement to self-nominate if you plan to apply.

Ø  If you do nominate another organization, please give them ample time to prepare an application, if they so desire.

  • Applications must be received by February 1, 2013.
